Privacy policy

Actis Business Partners processes customer data. The purpose of processing customer data is to provide services and the financial and administrative processing. General visitor data is kept on the website. In this context, in particular the IP address of your computer, the possible user name, the time of retrieval and data that the browser of a visit sends, can be registered and used for static analysis of visiting and clicking behavior on the website. We also optimize the operation of the website. We try to anonymize these data as much as possible. This information is not provided to third parties.

Act-On

We use Marketing Automation software ‘Act-On’ to keep track of how users use the website and how effective our advertisements are. The information thus obtained is transferred to the Act-On server, including the IP address. Read the Act-On privacy policy for more information. Our website is connected to our social media page, LinkedIn. Read the privacy policy of this social media page to see what they do with your personal data that they process with a cookie code.

Newsletter

We offer a newsletter with which we inform you about news in the field of ICT and Telecom, our own services and related matters. Your e-mail address will be added to the list of subscribers after your permission. Each newsletter contains a link with which you can unsubscribe. This list is not provided to third parties.

Cookies

We use cookies. A cookie is a simple small file that is sent with pages from the website and stored by your browser on the hard drive of your computer. We use cookies to remember your settings and preferences. These cookies can be turned off via your browser. Cookies are placed by Act-On via our website, see section ‘Act-On’ for more information.

What are personal data?

These are all data that can be traced back to a natural person. This includes name, address and telephone number. But also an IP address is personal data. Because it can be traced back to an individual.

The collected data comes from the use of our services and/or provided by yourself, for example by using our website.

Purpose and basis of the processing

Automated decision making

We do not make decisions based on automated processing on matters that could have (significant) consequences for people. This concerns decisions taken by computer programs or systems, without a natural person (for example an Actis employee) involved.

Sharing personal data with third parties

We do not sell your data to third parties and only provide it if this is necessary for the execution of our agreement with you or to comply with a legal obligation. We enter into a processing agreement with companies that process your data on our behalf to ensure the same level of security and confidentiality of your data. Actis remains responsible for these processing operations.

 

Request data

Your data is yours. And that is why you have certain rights.

  • You have the right to view the data we have about you. That is why you can request an overview from us of the data we collect, for what purpose we do it and with which types of organizations we share that data.
  • You have the right to have your data deleted.
  • If we have stored your data incorrectly, you can report this and have this data changed. This way you help us to keep everything as complete and correct as possible.
  • You can object to the use of your data in certain situations.
  • You have the right to transfer your data.

We cannot always fulfill your request. Sometimes we have a good reason to still save or process your data. When we do, we will always communicate this in writing.

How we protect personal data

Actis takes the protection of your data seriously and takes appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorized modification.

At a technical level we have taken the following measures:

  • HTTPS encryption for web services
  • SSL Certificates
  • Personal login via Multifactor Authentication for employees.
  • Firewall(s) for the Internet
  • AntiVirus software on PCs and Servers
  • Regular backups of data within the systems.
  • No backups outside the fixed (wired and secured) network
  • Extensive logging of events on the systems.
